Capt. Chris Johnson has 20+ years of charter fishing experience, initially at the Jersey Shore and more recently in the Florida Keys, where he and his wife, Christy, created SeaSquared Charters. We specialize in providing a quality experience not only for seasoned fishermen, but for families and beginning anglers too. Kids are not only welcomed, but encouraged! The SeaSquared is a 2003 28-foot Parker Center Console Blue Water Edition powered by Yamaha twin 225 4-stroke outboard engines for a fast, comfortable ride at a cruising speed of 35 knots. She features a spacious fishing platform with above-deck live well and is outfitted with state-of-the-art Furuno fish finder, Northstar GPS chart navigator, AM/FM radio with CD player, ICOM VHF radio and complete safety equipment. We use professional quality, modern Shimano equipment, Berkeley Trilene line and fluorocarbon leaders and Gamakatsu hooks. The crystal blue waters of the Florida Keys play host to a wide variety of game fish throughout the year. Whether you want to fish the patch reefs for Snapper and Grouper or troll the deep blue for Dolphin and Wahoo, SeaSquared Charters will put you in the action! On the inshore and gulf reefs and wrecks, we target Grouper, Snapper, Shark, Mackerel, Cobia, Permit and various other species too numerous to list. This fishing takes place year round and is always enjoyable, especially for younger and less experienced anglers. The beauty of North America’s only living coral reef adds to the enjoyment of fishing the Florida Keys. Offshore fishing targets pelagic game fish such as Dolphin, Wahoo, Marlin and Tuna. Hard-fighting fish to challenge even the most hard-core anglers! We also go deep-dropping with a custom-built 130-lb. electric reel setup, which targets Snapper and Grouper up to 1,500 feet deep.
